You can now you your Aeroplan miles to book EVA Air flights. As I mentioned yesterday these flights were already bookable with Lifemiles.

It really is a great source of TPAC space, although you should really start booking now, as the space is going quite fast. This morning, I saw space everyday from Dec 15 – 28 LAX-TPE with the exception of one day with at least two seats on one flight, but now it looks like at least 3-5 of those days do not have flights with two seats any more.

Best of all, there are no fuel surcharges (yet), which is amazing!  This is probably one of the better ways to get to Asia with Aeroplan. Also keep in mind that EVA air themselves have peak periods of booking, so there might be blackout dates as have been mentioned on some FT threads. The space is now also bookable with US Airways with their call center (as you can’t book partner awards with US Dividend Miles online).

One Mile at a Time also says that space is also searchable on the ANA award engine.

They have also released their accrual rates with most airlines. You can accrue Aeroplan miles flying EVA Air at these rates, from 50% for discount economy to 125% for business:
