RBC Apple Pay – The Best Promotion Ever!

Apple Pay has been in Canada for a while, although there hasn’t been too many promotions to use it. I used to MS a bit with Apple Pay, so I always kept my ears out for any bonuses. So I got quite excited when I saw a bonus for RBC Apple Pay transactions.

I’ve talked about how I’d like Canadian credit card issuers would market their cards.  I like their cards because they have pretty decent transfer partners as well, including Avios, AAdvantage, and Cathay Asia Miles. I have a couple of Avion cards with them.

Here’s the fine print of the promotion:

This offer is not transferrable. An eligible RBC Rewards credit card is a personal credit card issued by Royal Bank of Canada that earns RBC Rewards points, but does not include the RBC® Visa Business Platinum® Avion and RBC® Commercial Avion® Visa cards.

You will earn 50% more (one and half times) the RBC Rewards points (“Bonus Points”) you normally earn for every $1 in purchases you make with your RBC Rewards credit card when you use Apple Pay online or in-store from August 1, 2017 until August 31, 2017 inclusive (“Offer Period”) on your first $250 in total purchases per credit card account. Returns or price adjustments will cancel or reduce the RBC Rewards points originally earned on your purchase, including Bonus Points. Please allow up to 90 days from the end of the Offer Period for the Bonus Points to appear on your credit card statement. Royal Bank of Canada reserves the right to modify or withdraw this offer at any time, even after you have activated it.

$250? Seriously?! I’m totally very excited for my 125 bonus miles…
