So this morning I just posted about Qatar Airways award space with American miles. I mentioned that the award have around $200 in fuel surcharges for a one-way flight from Chicago to Doha.

Well I can confirm that AA should not be charging fuel surcharges on these flights. I tweeted @AmericanAir, and we had a conversation:
They’ve changed the reservation so that only taxes are reflected on my ticket. So if you have booked or held a ticket, I strongly suggest that you tweet American Air as that may save you several hundred dollars!
