Starwood has released details of it’s 2014 promotions, which is called SPG Bring On The Nights.
It’s very… boring and non-lucrative, where you can earn 2,500 bonus points every five eligible nights up to 10,000 bonus starpoints, and receieve another 5,000 bonus points when you hit 25 eligible nights. Certainly acceptable for planned stays, but nothing significant to induce you to switch to Starwood hotels from other chains. At least it’s valid for all hotels.
15,000 points also doesn’t get you a lot, especially when it’s the less than the amount that a Canadian or American signup for the SPG AMEX would get you.
Registration starts in December, and the link to the site with the offer is here.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
When SPG had really good promotions, that were only available at certain participating properties, there were lots of people on message boards who DEMANDED that the next time SPG come up with a promo, they HAVE to get all the properties to agree.
Well, THIS is what you get when SPG sets the bar low enough that all the properties are onboard.
@jerry,
That is true. Recalled: Nov 2012 – Feb 2013, spg promotion offered 2K spg points per stay at Le Merien combined with another promotion overlapping 1/1 – 2/28 for a double point promotion. That made SPG an attractive hotel.
I expect another promotion pops up valid 1/5 – 4/30/14 to lure me into 25-night stay in SPG. Otherwise, I would rather wait until Jan – Feb 2015 to catch up my SPG plat status that expires by Feb 28, 2015. So, no hurry! wait and see.
