I am on Facebook and Twitter – don’t miss any more posts like these!
June is definitely the month of credit card promotions and it’s been great so far! I’m really excited, because this is the highest offer historically that I have seen – last year they had a 50,000 points offer, but this is higher!
You can access the application link here. (Note that I do not receive a credit for applications through this link at the time of publication as this offer is better than my affiliate offer. Thanks for your support!)
This card has no annual fee, so that means an essentially free $200+ signup bonus value with a churn! This is great, because with no annual fee this means free 12,000 airline miles which is almost 50% of your economy ticket to florida (if you are inclined to use your points that way). Pairing this with the CIBC no annual fee promo, and that’s not a bad load of points for cards that are free in Canada!
The details are as follows:
- Receive 20,000 bonus BWR Points after your first eligible purchase†â€
- Spend $1,000 before July 31, 2013 on your new card and receive additional 30,000 bonus points†††.
- Receive another 10,000 bonus points†††† when you spend an additional $1,000 before August 31, 2013

It’s also worth $225 in Wal-Mart GCs, which is not a bad option either (especially for those mile rich, cash poor, like me).
Hey, how about you give me some miles and I give you some cash then? π
SOLD! π
Can you buy esso gift cards to qualify for the spending requirements?
Yes.
Aeroplan has periodically offered a top-up bonus for transferring points in. In the last round, a 10,000 mile transfer was topped up to 12,000 miles.
If that promo is repeated again, then this 12,000 Aeroplan miles could be converted in as 14,000 miles.
No guarantee, but it might be worth hanging on to the BW points instead of converting right away.
Right, thanks for bringing that up. As I said I don’t transfer to AP π
Make sure you keep track.
They still haven’t given us the 40000 sign up from last year, even though it is extremely easy to track over $1000 in spending for a month. The customer service on this has been terrible.

Ya, I read that in the FT thread MBNA has been a complete pita. Well I guess their travel partners are about as good as their phone agents, LOL!
Awesome churn, but….I already had this card during the 50K bonus and only cancelled it 4 months ago. Do you think I’ll qualify for the points again?
I also cancelled mine 3 months ago and will retry.
If you actually use the points for Best Western hotels you can get anywhere from $400-600 in hotel stays for that 60,000, which I think is worth more than 225 in giftcards or 12-15000 Aeroplan points, but to each his or her own…
