TD now has updated their welcome bonus for this card. The TD Aeroplan Visa annual fee waiver is now 100% for the first year. That’s the best it’s historically been.

As well, you can earn up to 20,000 Aeroplan miles after meeting the following requirements:

• 15,000 Aeroplan points after your first purchase
• 5,000 Aeroplan points as an anniversary bonus

TD All-Inclusive Client always get their annual fee waived on this card, so this is a very easy way to pick up 20,000 Aeroplan miles for free.

Unfortunately, the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege offer of up to 65,000 Aeroplan miles has expired, which was the best one I’ve ever seen.

If you combine this with an American Express Card with first year fee waiver as well, such as the American Express Gold or Business Gold Card, you could earn a total of up to 60,000 Aeroplan miles, which is enough for a one-way business class ticket to Europe.

Keep in mind that TD Bank in the US also offers an Aeroplan card with a 25,000 mile bonus with the first year annual fee waived, which is available for both Americans and Canadians, so that could further top up your account.

Am I Eligible for this Card?

TD’s policy on getting a card multiple times is that you will not receive the bonus if you’ve opened the same product within the last six months. You also cannot be an existing cardholder.

I highly recommend this card, especially for beginners, because this is an easy way to start earning Aeroplan miles especially if you don’t want to open too many credit cards.
