American is offering a 30% bonus on shared (transferred) miles, which is a bad deal for outright buying miles because the numbers work out to just around 3 cents per mile. I find transferring miles sort of dumb especially with these tiered bonuses because clearing out accounts with small balances aren’t useful at all in this situation and if you had a lot of miles, just gain enough trust with the person having the miles to use their account.

Turkish Airlines has confirmed a IST-SYD route. Very interesting move which will clock in at 8,076 miles and it will certainly be an interesting Ultra-Long Haul flight. New route are always good! HT: Point me to the Plane
